Sonny Liston
Devastating champion of the early 1960s with one of the best jabs ever
Overview
Liston destroyed Floyd Patterson in one round in 1962 and again in 1963, one of the most feared punchers the division has known. His jab was arguably the heaviest in history. He lost the title to Cassius Clay in 1964 and the rematch in one controversial round in 1965. His 1970 death remains a subject of speculation.
