Will o the Wisp from Hartford won his first 62 bouts and took the world featherweight title in 1942 at age 20. Ring lore says he once won a round without throwing a single punch, moving and slipping everything. He won 229 of 241 recorded fights either side of a plane crash that nearly killed him in 1947, and regained the title from Sandy Saddler in their four fight saga.
