Overview
Alexis Arguello moved up seeking to become the first four division world champion, and Aaron Pryor met him in Miami at a furious pace. The two exchanged heavy shots for thirteen rounds before Pryor stopped Arguello in the fourteenth. Controversy followed over a bottle trainer Panama Lewis handed Pryor between rounds, but Pryor won the 1983 rematch by knockout as well.
