Mickey Walker
The Toy Bulldog, welterweight and middleweight champion who fought heavyweights
Overview
Walker won the world welterweight title in 1922 and the middleweight title in 1926, then went looking for bigger men. He fought a draw with future heavyweight champion Jack Sharkey in 1931 and was stopped by Max Schmeling in 1932, giving away many pounds each time. His all action style and hard living made him one of the most popular fighters of the Roaring Twenties.
