Champion Jersey Joe Walcott, 37 years old and cagey, dropped Rocky Marciano in round one and led on the cards through 12. In the 13th Marciano landed one of the most famous single punches in history, a short right hand that knocked Walcott out cold against the ropes. Marciano had the crown, and the punch is still replayed today.
