Leonard vs Hearns
Leonard rallied late to stop Hearns in 14, September 16 1981
Overview
The Showdown at Caesars Palace unified the welterweight title. Thomas Hearns boxed beautifully, built a lead on the cards and hurt Leonard in the middle rounds. Sugar Ray Leonard stormed in the 13th, dropped Hearns, and closed the show in the 14th to become the undisputed champion in one of the great comebacks inside a fight.
