Overview
Hammering Henry is the only man to hold three world championships in different weight classes at the same time. In ten months across 1937 and 1938 he won the featherweight, welterweight and lightweight crowns, relentless pressure punching in an era of 15 round fights. He defended the welterweight title 19 times and came within a whisker of the middleweight crown in 1940 against Ceferino Garcia.
