Hagler vs Hearns
The War, three savage rounds in Las Vegas, April 15 1985
Overview
Marvin Hagler and Thomas Hearns spent eight minutes trying to take each other head off. Round one is routinely called the greatest single round ever fought, Hagler bleeding from a gash, both landing haymakers. Hagler walked through the storm and knocked Hearns out cold in the third. Barely seven minutes of combat that cost both men something permanent.
