Aaron Pryor
The Hawk, a whirlwind junior welterweight who beat Alexis Arguello twice
Overview
Pryor won the WBA junior welterweight title from Antonio Cervantes in 1980 and fought at a relentless pace few opponents could match. His two victories over Alexis Arguello, in Miami in 1982 and Las Vegas in 1983, defined his career, the first remembered as one of the great fights of the decade. Drug problems later derailed him, though he eventually found sobriety and worked with young fighters.
