Larry Holmes
Champion 1978 to 1985 with 20 title defenses and one of the best jabs ever
Overview
The Easton Assassin won the WBC crown from Ken Norton in 1978 by one of the closest decisions ever and went 48-0, one win short of the Marciano record, before losing to Michael Spinks. His jab is rated by many as the finest single punch in heavyweight history. He defended 20 times, including the 1982 Gerry Cooney fight, and boxed on into his 40s.
