Ali vs Liston II
The phantom punch, one round in Lewiston, Maine, May 25 1965
Overview
In a tiny hockey rink before barely 2,400 spectators, Muhammad Ali leaned away and tagged Sonny Liston with a right hand so short ringside swore it missed. Liston went down and stayed down while Ali stood over him, the most reproduced photo in boxing. The knockout timed 1 minute 42 seconds of round one remains debated to this day.
