Overview
De La Hoya won Barcelona gold for his dying mother and became the biggest box office attraction of his era, winning titles from super featherweight to light middleweight. He beat Julio Cesar Chavez in 1996, and his 2007 loss to Floyd Mayweather set pay per view records. His company, Golden Boy Promotions, became a major promotional force. He finished 39-6.
