Born in London and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, Lewis won 1988 Olympic super heavyweight gold for Canada. He avenged both career losses, to Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman, unified the belts by beating Evander Holyfield in 1999, knocked out Mike Tyson in 2002, and retired as champion in 2003 after edging Vitali Klitschko on cuts. His record stands 41-2-1.
