Overview
After a brawl at the announcement press conference in New York, the fight was staged at the Pyramid in Memphis and became one of the biggest pay per view events of its time. Lennox Lewis controlled Mike Tyson with his jab and size before knocking him out in the eighth round to retain his WBC, IBF and lineal heavyweight titles. It confirmed Lewis as the best heavyweight of his generation.
